Keeping track of all our engagement work
NHS Rotherham CCG seeks both internal and external assurance that we engage with the right people, at the right time, over the right issues.
One of the ways that we check and monitor this, is the attached document which lists our priority areas of work. The Engagement Mapping document covers the year 2016-17 and the Engagement Mapping 2017-2018 document with a similar document produced each year, where amends are made to reflect new work streams and priorities.
We check each area, and assess each to determine where we need to plan for formal consultations (for example, where there is a major service change); and where we need to work in other ways. This includes surveys, focus groups, giving information, and working with partners in community organisations, the voluntary sector, and in other organisations, such as Rotherham Council, Rotherham Hospital and RDaSH.
This allows us to identify any gaps, and address these, and also to ensure that our information and evidence is easily accessible. In addition, the document for next year 2017-18 will also focus on the changes that all forms of consultation, engagement and participation have made to the way we plan and commission health services’.
