We worked with our health and social care partners to host a Healthier Together event, including our AGM, at the New York Stadium. The day was focused on how we are shaping health and care services in Rotherham and how local people can look after their own health and wellbeing.
Information stand that presented on the day included:
Get Healthy Rotherham, employment and heath, physical activity, libraries, home first (reablement and intermdiate care), Five Ways to Wellbeing, mental health, Healthwatch, CCG finance, medicines management, Rotherham Health Record and App, primary care, you said, we did..., Voluntary Action Rotherham, diabetes prevention, primary eyecare, Connect Healthcare Rotherham (GP Federation), Rotherham Wheelchair and Equipment Service, Crossroads, Integrated Care System, Director of public health - report and tell us what matters to you.
The Military Community and Veterans Centre (MCVC) also joined us with their promotion van.
The event included the CCG’s AGM, but also took the opportunity to look back on 70 years of the NHS, sharing stories and photographs across the decades. We are currently putting this history together – if you have experiences of the NHS in its early years, as a patient or a member of staff, please get in touch with us! We will also take the opportunity to look forward to future aspirations and hopes for the NHS, and want you to join us in this too.
