Choosing a Dispensing Appliance Contractor (DAC) for continence prescriptions

The items listed on your prescription need to be dispensed by a pharmacy or a Dispensing Appliance Contractor (DAC).

You are free to use a DAC of your choice, some people use two or three DACs or a combination of DAC and local Pharmacies – the choice is yours!

If you have no preference as to which DAC you wish to use we can register you with NHS Rotherham CCG preferred partner DAC. The preferred partner arrangement was made as part of a competitive tendering process. Local service users were active participants in the tender process and contributed to the evaluation process. A representative from the preferred partner DAC regularly attends service user group meetings and is available at these times to take comments about the service they deliver.

You are not obliged to stay with any particular DAC, if you wish to change just let the prescription coordinator know, they will ensure your prescriptions are sent to the DAC of your choice.
