Number of mental health beds for CAMHS Tier 4 inpatients every year from 2010-present.

Since April 2013 NHS England has directly commissioned Tier 4 CAMHS services, therefore you may wish to direct some of your requests to NHS England via their FOI team at england.contactus@nhs.net Please write “Freedom of Information” in the subject line. Rotherham. 

However, we can provide the number of Rotherham patients admitted to Tier 4 beds as follows:

2014/15 = 17

2015/16 = 15

2016/17 = 5 (estimated as the final number for this period is not yet confirmed).

Your procedure for dealing with CAMHS Tier 4 inpatients if no beds are available.

If there are no tier 4 beds available, we will try to manage the situation within the community until a bed becomes available, if the risk and presenting problem is not able to be managed in the community with increased support, use of an adult in-patient bed would be utilised.
